US Soccer is the governing body of soccer in all its forms in the United States. For 100+ years the Federation’s mission statement has been very simple and very clear: to make soccer a preeminent sport in the US and to continue the development of soccer at all levels.
USYS is the largest member of the US Soccer Federation. USYS includes more than 600,000 volunteers and administrators, and more than 300,000 dedicated coaches.
USYS registers more than 3 million youth players between the ages of five and nineteen. USYS is made up of 55 member State Associations; one in each state, and two each in CA, NY, OH, PA and TX.
OSYSA is a member of USYS (Region II) and the US Soccer Federation. USYS is the largest youth soccer organization in the United States, with more than 3.4 million members.
The MRL mission is to provide the highest standard of competitive play for youth teams in USYS Region II. The MRL features competition in five Age Groups (U14, U15, U16, U17, and U18) for both Boys and Girls in both fall and spring.
The US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program was formed in 1977 to identify players in each age group to form a National Team for international competition; to provide high-level training to benefit and enhance the development of players at all levels; and, to develop a mechanism for the exchange of ideas and curriculum to improve all levels of coaching.
The mission of USCS is is to develop competitive club soccer in the United States. A member of the US Soccer Federation, USCS includes clubs and leagues in 50 states. In addition to registering players and staff, sanctioning leagues, tournaments and other soccer programs, USCS offers a range of programs for its members.
MOSSL, based in Worthington, OH, is a league for U9 to U19 players and is sanctioned by the Ohio South Youth Soccer Association.
The BPYSL is a top level, nationally recognized, youth soccer league based in central and southern Ohio. The league is open to all teams in Ohio South as well as other nearby state associations. Currently, the league consists of teams from IN, KY, WV as well as Ohio South. The majority of league games are played in Cincinnati, Dayton or Columbus.
OCL, based in Dublin, OH, includes nearly 200 teams ranging in age from U7 to U14 and is sanctioned by US Club Soccer. The primary mission of the OCL is to provide an enjoyable soccer environment for a wide range of players desiring to play above the basic community-based recreational program. Most of the teams in the program are parent-coached, however, many of the U7 to U9 teams are professionally-coached. In addition, the league sponsors tournaments at the end of each Fall and Spring season.
FIFA is the interational governing body of association football, with headquarters located in Zurich, Switzerland.
FIFA is responsible for organizing the FIFA World Cup™ and various other world cup competitionsm safeguarding the Laws of the Game, and developing the game around the world.
